After a major disaster, it can take hours or even days for emergency personnel to reach you. Having enough food, water, and other supplies to last at least 72 hours is essential to help ensure your survival after an emergency.
Agencies such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the American Red Cross recommend having an emergency supply kit on hand. Prepare now for all kinds of emergencies from fire and floods to potential terrorist attacks. For individuals with special needs or disabilities, advance preparation is especially important.

Special Olympics: Family of the YearThis year’s Special Olympics Area Spring Games was something one VIP employee will always remember. “Getting the Family of the Year Award was the highlight of the Games,” Lisa said, adding that she and her family were awarded the honor during the Opening Ceremonies.
Lisa and her family had no idea they were receiving the honor. “My mom [Peggy] was so surprised,” Lisa said.

Going Green at Regency Two of Regency Management’s housing facilities, Regency House of Cape and Regency Terrace of Cape, recently qualified for Ameren Missouri’s Residential Energy Efficiency Multifamily Income-Qualified program.
Last November, a representative of Honeywell Utility Solutions, a contract vendor of the program sponsored by Ameren, toured the two facilities to see for which items the buildings would qualify.
Regency House of Cape received six new Energy-Star rated refrigerators and eight CFL bulbs per apartment. Regency Terrace of Cape received a new refrigerator, low-flow shower heads, two programmable thermostats, and CFL bulbs.
